Associate Attorney Brandon Dinetz

Brandon Dinetz is Lead Counsel for the DUI and County Court Division at Meltzer & Bell, P.A. in West Palm Beach, Florida, and focuses his criminal defense practice on handling charges of DUI, DUI manslaughter, violations of probation, batteries, drug offenses, weapons offenses, thefts, traffic-related incidents, and incidents involving misdemeanor and felony allegations, representing defendants, victims and witnesses alike.  Thus, while Brandon is lead counsel for DUI and County Court matters, Brandon is highly experienced in the handling of serious felony matters.  In addition, Brandon handles domestic violence offenses on a criminal basis while also representing both petitioners and respondents, in petitioning for injunctions for protection. Brandon prides himself on a proactive aggressive approach to criminal defense accusations.  Pre-File work with the State Attorney’s Office and or the arresting agency investigating his clients are a crucial part of the timeline, and Brandon is highly skilled in achieving excellent results early in the case.  In the event the State decides to proceed with charges, Mr. Dinetz will never fold.  He will work tirelessly for you to make sure your rights are protected.

Since accepting this position with Meltzer & Bell, P.A., Brandon has represented more than 750 clients in county court, circuit court and at administrative hearings.

Prior to joining the firm, Brandon worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County for four years, prosecuting over 3,100 criminal cases, including DUI’s, thefts, batteries, firearm charges, drug offenses, and numerous traffic offenses.  He worked as a Lead Division Attorney, where he also managed a large caseload himself while supervising his division’s caseload, filed DUI charges, prosecuted violations of probation and DUI recidivists.  During his tenure with the State Attorney’s office, he argued hundreds of evidentiary hearings and over 35 jury trials of both misdemeanor and felony charges.

Most notably for his criminal defense practice, while a prosecutor, Brandon cultivated strong relationships with the local legal community, including law enforcement officers and both County and Circuit Court judges. His tempered aggression gained the respect of both his colleagues and adversaries alike.

Brandon achieved his law degree from Nova Southeastern Law School in 2016, after winning an Invitation-Only international mock trial competition in Scotland and several other national mock trial competitions. Brandon left NSU being named the school’s most decorated Mock Trial Competitor.  Now, Brandon often returns to NSU to train and educate students to hone their trial advocacy skills.  He was a member of the Craig S.
