Domestic Violence Intervention Programs (DVIP)

In some domestic violence cases, a diversion program may be required. A domestic violence intervention program (DVIP) offers an alternative to statutory penalties for offenders. If the program’s conditions are met in the allotted time, charges may be dismissed.

Florida offers domestic violence intervention programs for offenders and their families struggling with domestic violence. In some cases, a DVIP can be costly. However, enduring this could result in you not having to face legal penalties for a domestic violence crime.

If you or someone you know has been charged with domestic violence and are interested in a DVIP, it is important that you seek legal representation immediately.
