2022 Violation of Probation (Felony Petit Theft) St. Lucie County

Facts: Our client was placed on probation following a prison sentence for the charge of Felony Petit Theft. At some point our client tested positive for marijuana and his probation was reinstated. However, approximately a year into his probation he was violated again for picking up additional charges for battery by strangulation.

Results: Our firm took the new criminal case to trial and our client was found not guilty. Based on our arguments and the testimony elicited at trial we were able to convince the judge to find our client in violation for enough evidence only a misdemeanor battery. During the sentencing we argued that our client had served more than enough time for the conduct the judge found him to be in violation. Ultimately, the judge agreed and our client was time served and able to go home!
