Beverly Baitsholts

Legal Assistant, Meltzer & Bell, P.A.

Beverly is a full-time legal assistant responsible for running our treasure coast divisions with attorneys Whitney Duteau, Esq. and Paul Bernard, Esq.  Prior to joining Meltzer & Bell, P.A., Beverly worked as a legal assistant with the Office of the Public Defender in the 19th Judicial Circuit, criminal division for 12 years in St. Lucie County.  She worked in the Juvenile Division working, for a lengthy period of time, with Paul Bernard, Esq (current counsel with the firm).  Additionally, from November 2018 through October 2022, Ms. Baitsholts worked as a legal assistant with the Martin County Public Defender’s Office in Juvenile and the Felony Division.  Amongst her duties were handling high volume case management, updating and closing cases, document preparation, filing matters through the portal, coordinating depositions, securing records from DOC, medical facilities, school and maintaining and scheduling attorneys calendars. Ms. Baitsholts prided herself mostly on the intense work she did on Miller/Graham Assignments working with juveniles who were moving to reduce life sentences handed down unlawfully. She brings a wealth of knowledge to our treasure coast office and is a vital part of our team.
